Christmas is such a warm time.
a time of gifts and presents
both from 'Santa Claus' and loved ones
a time of gathering together and sharing and caring
a time of joy, songs and warmth and pleasantness
a time to be with loved ones
Christmas is such a warm time
a time the saviour was born
though born in a lowly and smelly manger
he ruled the the theologies of teachers
and brought to nought the skills of learned men
he spoke as he heard the father and healed
he heard through the spirit and demonstrated him
healing, teaching, delivering and setting free
he opened closed minds, he healed bent-over bodies
he stopped issues of blood and made eyes open
he made disciples of crooked custom officers
and had a thief as his finance director
he operated in the spirit and gave everyone
the chance to experience this experience
some concurred, some believed, some were in disgust
some followed for food, some listened to learn
some were selfish, curious to touch his garment
some got healed, some got trampled over and other picked pockets
but we know they all had a chance of a foretaste
today some (countless millions like me) believe
others laugh in scorn at Christianity
some just gaze in amazement, and others don't bloody care
but its something we will stand up to at the judgement throne
what we believe is much beyond Christmas
its a life thing
merry Christmas to the ones who believe
and to the ones waiting.. merry Christmas
may your heart receive the true meaning of the celebration
let your heart open up and believe
because Jesus is the reason for the season and he reigns forever
he is the only man who was born, lived, died and rose again
and forever will be.
He is worth believing.
