he being dead yet speaketh
that describes man at best
for long has the night of sorrow reigned
but not so my emmanuel
he has broken the power of night
before him death's stood impotent
he's marked the death of death
has sat down enthroned in majesty
the great scion of the Father's heart
dwells in light and immortality
